Chapter 4: Better
Ulinkers have something to say to the past selves. the present selves and the better future selves:
Finally standing on the stage, the careful preparation since the beginning of the school year has paid off. For the new year of oneself and the band, the lead singer of Fusion Band said: "I hope to learn from the seniors and let everyone see a better stage. I also hope that I can go to a better stage and get good grades!"
Xinni Wu was the champion of 2023 Campus Singer Contest, who was also the only performer with a solo on the stage. "This is the third time I've performed 'See You Again' on the stage of Ulink," said the musical girl with a beautiful voice. "I was very nervous during the first time, much more relaxed during the second time, and completely myself during the third time."
2023 was the second year that Ellen, a member of the event team, participated in the Christmas Talent Show. Her responsibility was to control the curtains, a job that required great adaptability. From pre-preparation to backstage on the day of the show, she experienced the excitement and passion of the audience more deeply and encountered more challenges. "This year, everyone worked together very well. In order to leave time for moving large musical instruments, we improvised and adjusted the order of the lottery and the program. I hope that next year I can do more for the school and take on more responsibilities!"
The director of the Christmas Talent Show, Jacqueline, was delighted to see everyone's creativity come to life. From the program handed out to each person to the front and backstage, without any professional team's involvement, she said, "All the segments were handled by the students themselves, and I am really proud of them!"
Finale: Happiness
The Christmas Talent Show is a joyous celebration.
Happiness is having talent and running towards the center of the stage, eagerly waiting for the curtains to be lifted and the lights to shine, waiting for the lucky spinner to stop and the lottery host to announce the number you want to hear, walking with like-minded friends, and witnessing all forms of love and beauty in humanity transcend mountains and oceans and bloom before your eyes and in your heart.
Happiness is gathering in a campus that creates happiness, listening to the sound of reindeer bells at Christmas and the ringing of New Year's bells, planting beautiful wishes, and then running towards a better self along the path of time.
This Christmas, listen to Lingke people say: May you be happy!
